About the Ultraman Card Game
The Ultraman Card Game (UCG) is a two-player trading card game published by Tsuburaya Productions, the studio behind Ultraman. It launched on October 25, 2024, with a simultaneous release in four languages (English among them) across 15 countries and regions.
Set structure
Cards come in numbered booster packs (BP01, BP02, …) plus starter and special decks. BP09 “Here He Comes! Our Hero!” goes on sale October 23, 2026, and marks the card game’s second anniversary. It has 110 cards plus 30 parallel versions. This site’s card, BP09-096 (Akiko Fuji), is from BP09.
Card types
The comprehensive rules list two card types:
- Character cards, in three kinds: Ultra Hero, Kaiju and Ultra Mech.
- Scene cards, which recreate moments from the shows.
BP09 adds a third type, Boost cards, based on defense teams, show items and story situations. It also adds a five-color “Color System” of red, blue, purple, yellow and green.
Rarities
The base rarities are C, U, R, RR and RRR. On top of those, parallel versions such as AP, ExP, UR and SSSP carry special art or finishes. Rarity has no effect on gameplay. A parallel counts as the same card number when building a deck.
